Welcome to Territory Explorers, where every journey transforms both the explorer and the explored territories. Our team is made up of passionate Ugandans who don’t just show you East Africa—we share our home with you. We believe in tourism that empowers communities, protects wildlife, and creates genuine connections that last long after you’ve returned home.

Desire Ambrose

FOUNDER & CEO

Desire Ambrose, founder and CEO of Territory Explorers, has always loved Uganda’s wild spaces and believes tourism can truly make a difference. He studied Travel and Tourism Management at Makerere University and worked with several safari companies. A key experience with the Uganda Conservation Foundation showed him how tourism could help communities move from poaching to conservation, and that changed his path for good.

Desire is also a passionate photographer who uses his images to share Uganda’s story, showing the landscapes and people he knows best. He strongly believes that Africans should lead their own stories by owning businesses, guiding conservation, and deciding how their lands are shared with others. With his leadership, Territory Explorers has become more than just a company—it’s a movement that is changing the way people see African tourism.
