4-Day Uganda Gorilla Adventure

You will be picked up either from your hotel or from Entebbe Airport when you arrive. Your professional English-speaking driver-guide will meet you and take you to Lake Mburo National Park. This small but beautiful park is close to the main highway between Entebbe, Kampala, and the western parks. Although it is the smallest savannah park in Uganda, it is home to 350 bird species and animals like giraffes, zebras, impalas, elands, buffaloes, Defassa waterbucks, hippos, and sometimes leopards. When we arrive, we will check in. If time allows, we can go on a guided nature walk with rangers to see wildlife up close. Dinner will be served, and you can relax for the night.

Accommodation: Rwakobo (mid-range). Meals included: lunch and dinner. The drive will take about four hours.

Have breakfast early, then head out for a morning game drive in the park. You can look forward to seeing eland antelopes, large herds of zebras, topi, impalas, buffaloes, and other savannah animals. After the drive, return to your accommodation, check out, and continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Bwindi is home to many mountain gorillas in Uganda, with about half of the world’s mountain gorilla population and several groups that visitors can trek. Since tomorrow will be a busy day, you will simply check in to your accommodation and relax to get ready for the gorilla trekking experience in the morning.

Start your day with breakfast, then head to the rangers’ post for a briefing on trekking guidelines. Afterward, you’ll enter the Bwindi Forest for your adventure. This rainforest is truly beautiful, with steep, forested hills and dense vegetation. Animal trails wind through the area, making it possible for visitors to explore. The trek’s duration and route depend on where the gorillas are that day. Once you find a gorilla group, you’ll spend an hour with them. Being close to these gentle, endangered animals is an experience you’ll never forget. After the trek, enjoy lunch before transferring to Lake Bunyonyi.

Lake Bunyonyi is surrounded by green, terraced hills rising between 2,200 and 2,478 meters. The lake’s 29 islands, each with its own shape and size, make the scenery especially beautiful. You’ll have dinner here and spend the night.

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast with a beautiful view of the Bunyonyi little islands right in front of you, followed by a short boat ride around the islands. Afterward, you will travel back to Entebbe, arriving in the late afternoon or evening for your flight home.
