Best Time to Visit
Tanzania is a great place to visit any time of year, but the dry seasons from June to October and January to February offer the best weather and the most concentrated wildlife. The Great Wildebeest Migration is always moving through the Serengeti, so we plan our trips to match the best times for crossings based on your travel dates.
Permits & Logistics
TANAPA manages Tanzania’s national parks, while the Ngorongoro Conservation Area has its own authority. Entry fees depend on the park and the time of year. Territory Explorers prepays all fees, handles transfers, and prepares your documents before you travel.
How Long to Spend
Spending eight to twelve nights in Tanzania gives you enough time to see the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater, another area like Tarangire or Ruaha, and enjoy a few days on Zanzibar. If you want to explore the southern circuit in more depth, plan for at least fourteen nights.
Health & Preparation
We recommend malaria prevention for all safari areas in Tanzania. Depending on where you are coming from, you may also need a yellow fever vaccination. You will get a full health briefing, destination information, and a packing guide at least six weeks before you arrive.

Park Entry & Conservation Fees
Tanzania’s national parks and conservation areas have daily entry fees, which are managed by TANAPA and the Ngorongoro Conservation Authority. For each reserve on your itinerary, we pay the fees before you travel, so there is nothing left to pay at the gate.

Transportation
All overland movement is in a purpose-built 4x4 Land Cruiser safari vehicle, wide-windowed, pop-top where conditions allow, and at ease on everything from Serengeti dust roads to Ngorongoro’s crater descent. Your vehicle stays with you throughout.

Driver-Guides
